We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.

h.Print Comes to the Library

Visitors to the Blommer and Lauinger Libraries have noticed the arrival of new printers over the last several weeks, signaling the arrival of h.Print. h.Print is the University’s new consolidated printing solution, which will replace outdated printers and bring modern print capabilities, like secure print and mobile print. Additionally, h.Print is more environmentally friendly and economical.

As part of h.Print implementation across the campus, new multi-functional devices (MFDs) have replaced the public printers in Lauinger and Blommer. These printers, available both in monochrome (black and white) and color, can print, scan and copy, making it easier than ever to get your work done. In addition, printers will soon be available in new locations across campus.

Instructions on how to install the new printers on your devices are available on UIS’ website. In addition, please report any issues using the new printers, including the need for more paper or toner, to the UIS support team by calling 202-687-4949, texting 202-6565-UIS or contacting the UIS Online Service Center.
