Library Applications Outage 6/27

Beginning at 5 pm on Friday, June 27, several Library applications will be offline for migration to the University’s Data Center in Laurel, Maryland. The following applications will be unavailable for all users:

-DigitalGeorgetown
-off-campus access to all e-resources*
-InterLibrary Loan site
-printing in Lauinger and Blommer Libraries
-public computer reservation system

The Library’s website, catalog and most e-resources will still be available. We will provide updates on the Library’s Twitter account and Facebook page when service is restored.

*Most e-resources will still be available on campus, but you will need to remove the proxy information from the URL in order to access the resource. To do so, copy the resource URL from the Library’s website. It will look something like this:

http://proxy.library.georgetown.edu/login?url=http://www.jstor.org

Remove the first part of the URL that reads:

http://proxy.library.georgetown.edu/login?url=

This will leave you with the URL:

http://www.jstor.org

Go to this URL. You should be recognized as a Georgetown University user. If you have any questions, or experience any problems with this process, please contact the Electronic Resources Unit at eresources@georgetown.edu.

A few e-resources will be unavailable for the duration of the outage. If you cannot access a resource, please wait until the outage is over and try again.
