Library Resources for Course Planning

Faculty, as you prepare your syllabi for the spring semester, your librarian is here to help! Whether you’re teaching a class for the first time or the twentieth time, your librarian can make your life—and the lives of your students—easier. Librarians can:

-Help you identify quality, relevant resources. Already have your articles, books and videos picked out? Your librarian can tell you if they’re available as e-resources, saving time and hassle.

-Create specific course guides and tutorials tailored to the contents of your class.

-Teach class sessions covering course-related resources, research strategies and citation methods, including primary sources, data sets and statistics, non-English language material, images/multimedia and citation management software.

-Meet with your students in one-on-one research consultations.

-Collaborate with you to craft research assignments to develop student research skills, beginning through advanced levels.

Find your librarian today and get started! Or contact Sandy Hussey, Library Research Instruction Coordinator, for more information.
