We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.

New Public Computer Use Policy

The Library has implemented a new policy for the use of the seven guest computers located across from the Circulation Desk in Lauinger Library. Guests wishing to use these computers must complete a one-time registration at the Circulation Desk. Once registered, the guest will have a maximum of three hours of computer use per day.  This time limitation enables the Library to better manage the public computers, assuring equal access for all guests.

In addition, guests may use the six Catalog Access Stations located between the Circulation and Reference desks to search the Library's catalog without registering. These computers are limited to the Library's catalog, databases and other Georgetown University related websites.
