We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.

OneSearch to Rule Them All

The Library is always working hard to make it easy to find what you’re looking for. This summer, we implemented a new search tool on our website called OneSearch. OneSearch is the default search in the “All” tab on our website. It searches the collections of Georgetown and the Washington Research Library Consortium, including books, journal and newspaper articles, encyclopedias, images and media, primary sources and many of our databases. And once you’ve searched all of these materials, you can filter the results in many different ways to find what you need. Think of OneSearch as Google for the Library’s resources—except you know all the results are quality, academic sources!

To learn more about OneSearch and its search functions, visit our website or contact us. And remember, our subject specialists are always happy to meet with you to go over our resources and how to find them and use them.
