Project Rebirth

National September 11 Memorial & Museum

Thanks to the generosity of the Project Rebirth Initiative, DigitalGeorgetown is now home to nine short videos based on the Peabody award-winning documentary Rebirth.

After the full-length documentary Rebirth was released in 2011 Project Rebirth created a series of videos that captures the journeys of nine New Yorkers, whose lives were forever changed as a result of this national tragedy. These short videos portray a more universal journey, one that we all experience. The film content is emotionally intimate but also spiritually uplifting providing a portrait of how the full spectrum of human emotions – shock, grief, anger and confusion – evolves into hope, connection, purpose, resilience, and renewal.

We invite you to explore the stories of these nine incredible individuals in DigitalGeorgetown. You can also find more information about the important work of Project Rebirth on their website
