- Libraries & Spaces
We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.
What do you think about the space in Lauinger Library? Do you have suggestions for how the Library could improve it? Want more group study space? Artwork? Faculty carrels? Lockers? We want to hear from you!
The Library is reviewing its Master Space Plan, developed in 2009, and considering what short-term improvements we might make prior to its implementation. As part of this process, we are reissuing our space survey to gather feedback from students, faculty and staff from all over the University about how you use the Library and particularly how you’d like to see our spaces grow and evolve.
Take our short 5-minute survey and tell us what you like, don’t like and want to see in the future. All suggestions, from the practical to the creative, are welcome. The results of the survey will be added to the data gathered five years ago and help inform our priorities and actions as we work within the current facility and existing resources.
