Lauinger Library and Blommer Science Library host the highest volume public printing service on campus. Blommer Science Library hosts one Print Release Station and Lauinger Library hosts nine. There are four Print Release Stations on the third floor, two on the first floor, and two on the second floor of Lauinger Library. There is also a color printer on the first floor.
Public computers on the third, fourth, and fifth floors of the library print to the Print Release Stations on the third and second floor. Public computers on the first floor and lower level print to the first floor printers. Public computers in the library are set to print double-sided as default. If you want your output to be single-sided you must change your print job's properties/preferences.
Initiating your print job:
From a library public computer, choose Print from your document as you normally would, choose the Print Release Station or group, and after you send the print job, you'll be prompted to enter a one-time username and a password of your choice (you do not need to use your NetID and password). Then go to the Print Release Station(s) you chose.
Follow the above instructions on your personal laptop. Prints initiated from your personal laptop will go to all ten Print Release Stations in Lauinger and Blommer libraries and can be released from any of them!
Releasing: paying for and picking up your prints:
Swipe your GOCard or your guest copy card in the keyboard, choose the print job(s) you wish to print (the username you chose previously will be listed), and then enter the password you chose. Double sided sheets cost $.05 each. Single-sided sheets cost $.10 each. Color printing is available on the first floor of Lauinger Library in the Gelardin Open Computing Area and is $.65 a page.
Purging of old print jobs:
Print jobs are deleted after 120 minutes if they have not been released.
