Cards
All
photocopiers, print stations, and microform
readers use the university-wide GOCard.
Non- Georgetown users must purchase
a guest card in order to print from
computer workstations, but can
use
change/bills to make copies. Value can
be added to GoCards and guest
cards,
and
guest
cards
can
be purchased at value transfer
stations
(VTS machines),
located in Lauinger Library's 3rd floor
lobby area and in the
Gelardin New
Media
Center located on the first
floor. The guest cards
cost $1, and values of $5, $10, $20
can be added at the VTS machines.
The VTS machine on the first floor also
accepts $1 bills. The closest
VTS machine to the Blommer
Science
Library
is located in the Leavey Center.
Both
copies and printouts are $0.10 per page

The U.S. Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies
of copyrighted materials.
Printing
Internet and index search results can be printed from Print Stations in the
Reference Department and the Gelardin
New Media Center in Lauinger Library, and in the Blommer Science Library
in the Reiss Building. From your computer workstation, send the print command,
enter your name and a password of your choice, and then go to the Print
Station. Insert
your GOCard , or your guest
GOCard (the same card that is used for photocopying in the library, available
from vending machines on the first and third floors of Lauinger Library
and in the Leavey Center) and follow the instructions posted
at the Print Station. Printouts are $0.10 a page.
Note: Use the computer workstations in
the Gelardin
New Media Center in Lauinger Library or the Blommer Science Library in the Reiss Building
to print your word processed documents.
Lauinger Reference workstations do not provide word processing software.

Copying
Self-service copiers are available on every floor ( the second
and third floors have many of them) in Lauinger Library and
in the Blommer Science Library.
All copiers accept the GOCard.
A number of copiers also accept coins and bills. Copiers in the Blommer Science
Library accept GOCards and coins.
Microform Copying
Paper copies may be made from microfilm, microfiche and microcards on self-service
machines in the Government Documents and Microforms Department on the first
floor of Lauinger Library. All microform copying machines require the GOCard.
Copies are $0.10 a page. You may also scan microform documents for free
and save to an external drive or send by email.
