Reserve a Group Study Room or a Multimedia Space

A limited number of group study rooms are available to all members of the Georgetown University community.

Space has been set aside for quiet and silent study in Lauinger. In quiet study areas there is no talking or playing of music (even with headphones). In silent study areas, there is no talking, playing of music or use of laptops. Consumption of permitted food is only allowed on the 2nd Floor. Covered drinks are permitted in all study areas.

The library has several study lounges.

The Library has several study areas available for late-night study.

The Pierce Reading Room is a quiet study area that also houses the Joseph Durkin Collection in American Studies.

A small Macintosh-based classroom, available for general use by Georgetown patrons when not reserved for workshops.

A limited number of individual study carrels in Lauinger Library are available to all members of the Georgetown University community.

A limited number of study carrels are available to Main Campus doctoral students. Preference is given to doctoral students who are ABD.

A limited number of study carrels are available to teaching faculty.

A limited number of lockers are available in Lauinger Library for Main Campus students who live off-campus who need to store frequently used research materials.

These rooms are designed for individual and small group video and audio editing, and simple graphic design.

Suite 7 is designed for audio recording and editing and specialized video work. It is also a good space for working with a large group on multimedia projects.
