Louis J. Reith

Louis builds the collection in all university programs relating to history in general (including historiography), and European history in particular, including West European and Irish studies. His special areas of historical interest include the Renaissance and Reformation; Early Modern Europe; German history and literature from the Reformation to the Present; Church history; and Central Europe (Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Austro-Hungarian history and culture). He is a member of the PAAC (Performing Arts Advisory Council), a singer with the Washington Chorus, and a member of the Board of Directors and writer of program notes for the Embassy Series, which sponsors concerts in various foreign embassies and ambassadorial residences.
