Check the Catalog
- GEORGE, the Georgetown University catalog, includes records for the 14,000+ videos and films in our collection.
- To limit your search to videos, type in a search term, then select Material Type: Film and Video (or Location: LAU Gelardin New Media Center).
- The Language Learning Technology Center's collection of holdings is also searchable in GEORGE. Search by “title” or “keywords” and set limits to Location: LLT Library.

- Distribution Video and Audio. For out of print or hard to find material.
- Bowkers Complete Video Directory. Current edition available in Reference Stacks.
- eBay. Full-length videos or clips sometimes for sale.
When You Can't Purchase in Time . . .
- WRLC Media Share. Locate the item in the WRLC catalog and make sure it is available for loan. Contact the Gelardin New Media Center and someone will arrange to borrow the material from the WRLC library. Requires one week's notice.
- Interlibrary Loan. If the item isn't available from WRLC, check WorldCat and send in a request. If it is something you want to copy when it comes in (only if in public domain or you have permission to do so) you should borrow in your own name.
- Classroom Educational Technology Services (CETS). Occasionally CETS will borrow videos from a local rental store if they have a minimum of two days' notice and the item is not available through any other means.
