Off Campus Access, Friday June 6, 2014

On Friday, June 6, 2014, between 9am and 11am, the library will be performing a system migration, affecting off-campus access.  During this time you may be unable to access library resources, depending on your location and the resource you are attempting to access. The following instructions should help you:

I am off-campus: You will be unable to access any library resources between 9am and 11am.

I am on-campus: From the library's webpages, look at the link that will take you to the desired resource. In George, this is the "CONNECT TO ONLINE RESOURCE" text link. In the library's database A-Z list, the link is the database's title. Copy the URL that the text link points to. It will look something like this:

Remove the first part of the URL that reads

This will leave you with the URL

Go to this URL. You should be recognized as a Georgetown University user. Remember: this will only work if you are on-campus. This will only need to be performed during the downtime, from 9am to 11am. Before and after this period links can be followed as usual.

If you have any questions, or experience any problems with this process, please contact the Electronic Resources Unit at eresources@georgetown.edu. We will be happy to assist you.
