Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) Workshops for Graduate Students

Are you a grad student preparing a thesis or dissertation?

Join the Georgetown University Library for an Electronic Thesis and Dissertation (ETD) orientation workshop. The sessions will provide an overview of the ProQuest submission process including:

  • distribution options
  • the difference between Traditional and Open Access Publishing
  • protecting your copyright
  • how ProQuest and DigitalGeorgetown relate to each other
  • what DigitalGeorgetown can offer you

Workshops will be held in the Murray Room on Lau 5 on:

  • Monday, November 20, 1:00pm-2:00pm
  • Wednesday, November 29, 4:00pm-5:00pm

These workshops will provide an overview of the submission process for MA and PhD theses and explain the various submission options that are available on the ProQuest submission platform and how these options affect the distribution of a thesis. It will also touch on the relevant copyright concerns for theses as publicly accessible documents.
