Before #MeToo: The Sandusky/Paterno Affair, the Annual Tanous Family Endowed Lecture

Sara Ganim, CNN Correspondent

Join the Library Associates for the annual Tanous Family Endowed Lecture featuring Sara Ganim, CNN Correspondent, on Thursday, March 22 from 6-8 pm in the Murray Room, 5th Floor, Lauinger Library.

Ganim, a CNN correspondent based in Washington DC, was previously based in the network’s New York Bureau and will speak about her experience breaking the story of the grand jury investigation into sexual abuse of children by Jerry Sandusky, the former defensive coordinator for the storied Penn State University football program. Her reporting of Sandusky's crimes and the surrounding scandal that enveloped the school, head coach Joe Paterno and Sandusky's Second Mile Charity, garnered a Pulitzer Prize in 2012.

This lecture is possible through the Tanous Family Endowed Lecture Fund, which was established by Peter J. Tanous (C’60) in 2010 in honor of Lauinger Library's 40th anniversary. The fund supports an annual lecture program for the Library Associates.
