Suminagashi or “floating ink” is the ancient art of Japanese paper marbling. Ink is floated on the surface of the water and with a breath of air, the rings gently move into patterns of waves and smoke. Suminagashi paper marbling can be used for book binding, stationery, or other decorative arts. Join us for a relaxing and fun workshop!
This workshops pairs great with the Japanese Poke Binding workshop on the 22nd. You can use the marbled paper as a cover for your bound journal!
Note: Close-toed shoes must be worn in the Maker Hub. Please see the Safety Page for all Maker Hub rules.
