Intro to 3D Printing and Design

In this hands-on workshops, we will cover everything you need to know to conceptualize, download, design, and print objects on the MakerHub's 3D printers. Topics to be covered include: using thingiverse.com to find models to print; modifying models and creating new designs using TinkerCAD; and printing models on the Ultimaker, MakerBot, and Monoprice Select 3D printers. To get the most out of these workshops, participants should bring their own laptops, set up accounts on http://thingiverse.com and http://tinkercad.com, and (optionally) install Blender (http://blender.org) in advance of the workshop.

As always, close-toed shoes must be worn in the Maker Hub. See https://www.library.georgetown.edu/makerhub/makerhub_gettingstarted for our full list of safety rules.
