Woodworking from Home with Adam Godet: The Science of Woodworking

cross-section of log cut into pieces

In this workshop master woodworker and Maker Neighbor Adam Godet will cover the basics of wood. Did you know that wood continues to move throughout its life, even after it’s a piece of furniture? Do you know the difference between grain and figure? Know how to read the grain? Or where the expression “against the grain” came from? How to choose and use finishes? We’ll cover all of this, and more, here.

Tools required if you want to follow along: NONE! If you have a scrap piece of lumber, that is helpful, but not required.
