Programming in 3D with codeBlocks with TinkerCAD

Screenshot of TinkerCAD CodeBlocks

TinkerCAD is a seemingly simple online 3D modeling software which actually contains some really sophisticated tools for “parametric design,” aka CODING in 3D! Called “CodeBlocks,” this graphical programming environment lets you write software that can build and move 3d models dynamically. This saves you a lot of work if your design is complex, repetitive, or if you want to make several versions with variations. CodeBlocks is also a great way to learn the basics of programming with a fun, useful output. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll cover the basics of variables, conditional statements, loops, and use our new skills to build personalized 3d models that we can print or share online. No previous coding or 3d modeling experience is required.
