Due to ongoing repairs in Lauinger Library, the temperatures on Floors 5, 4, and in the Pierce Reading Room are currently lower than normal. Users may find more comfortable temperatures on the 3rd Floor outside of the Pierce Reading Room and on Floors 2, 1, and the Lower Level as well as the Bioethics and Blommer Science Libraries.

Shedding Light on Safety Perceptions at Georgetown University

This health promotion program includes a video that showcases the perceived safety issues present on GU’s campus and possible solutions, primarily through further use of the blue light system. The lights themselves can alleviate issues relating to areas of darkly lit walkways, crevices, and foliage that diminishes visibility of the environment. The video also discusses alternative safety measures present through readily available campus resources.
