CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: The library is closed effective Tuesday, March 24th. Continuing services will include: access to online materials; reference, class or research consultations; and assistance with securing expanded online access to curriculum-based and/or research materials. For more information see the Georgetown Libraries COVID-19 Updates and Resources page and the Library's COVID-19 FAQ.
Reservations can only be made by users registered in our system. Contact us on the Chat System, or visit the Maker Hub during open hours to get registered.
If you do not have keycode access to the Maker Hub (current volunteers, staff, authorized faculty), you can reserve tools during Maker Hub open hours only. Open hours can be seen here.
Tools that can be reserved include:
Laser Cutter (required operation by authorized Maker Hub staff. Max 2 Hours Reservation Time.)
Digital Workstations (with Vinyl Cutters)
Equipment need not be reserved in advance, but can be reserved at the time of use if there are no conflicting reservations.
If you make a reservation and don't show up within 15 minutes of the start of your reservation, your reservation will be cancelled. Repeated no-shows will result in being banned from making advance reservations.
NOTE: The MAXIMUM amount of time the Laser Cutter can be reserved for is 2 hours. Additional time can be reserved after that two hours if no one is using the laser cutter then. If you have a single job that will take more than 2 hours, contact the Maker Hub manager for an exception.
