A Maker Space is more than just high-tech fabrication; sometimes the best way to make a project flexible and adaptable to organic forms is with textiles.
The Maker Hub is equipped with an easy-to-learn, heavy duty sewing machine for working with a range of fabrics.
We also have a Dorset Manual Loom, knitting supplies, and a LOT of yarn.
Note: An Orientation Session is required for access to the Maker Hub Sewing Machine and Dorset Loom.
Check out our Workshops and Events page for upcoming Introductory Sessions.
A loom is a device for making fabric by weaving yarn or thread.
The Maker Hub has a wide array of knitting needles, yarn, and other material for working with textiles.
