CANCELED: Join Us For Georgetown's Third Annual 3MT Competition on March 26

Three minute thesis logo

Library events have been canceled through May 15, 2020. Please check with us in the Fall about upcoming events.

The Library, the Writing Center, and the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences invite you to join us in supporting graduate students as they share their thesis or dissertation in just three minutes at Georgetown’s third annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition! Audience members will have a chance to vote on a crowd favorite prize at the end of the presentations.

3MT was developed by The University of Queensland (UQ) to celebrate the exciting research conducted by graduate students around the world. The competition will help you hone your presentation skills to explain your research quickly and effectively, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. Georgetown is excited to bring this program to the Hilltop, joining more than 600 universities and institutions worldwide.

The competition will be held on March 26th at 5:00 pm in the Murray Room with light refreshments to help both presenters and attendees keep up their energy! Questions? Send a message to digitalscholarship@georgetown.edu.
