Did you know that the library has a huge variety of media production equipment, fabrication tools, and state-of-the-art software available to anyone at Georgetown? Create your next masterpiece on the first floor of Lauinger!

The Gelardin New Media Center’s production and editing spaces are equipped with the latest technology to support video and audio editing, graphic design, studio production, lecture capture and more.

These spaces can be reserved online after passing a short online module to learn about our policies and procedures. If you forgot to reserve a space and want to work on a digital media project after hours, visit the Picchi Multimedia Room which is available to anyone at Georgetown during the Library's open hours.

Students working with 3D Printed Items in the Maker Hub

The Maker Hub and Idea Lab have space and equipment for ideating, prototyping, and collaborating with Georgetown researchers, makers and entrepreneurs. You can also drop in during the Maker Hub's open hours (listed below) to simply explore your creativity or learn new skills such as laser cutting and 3d printing.

Maker Hub Hours:

  • Mondays: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Tues-Thurs: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
  • Fridays: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Saturdays: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
