On Friday, November 3, a group of eleven librarians from Egypt visited Lauinger Library. The librarians were visiting the United States for a three-week professional exchange program sponsored by the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). The program is run by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

During their visit, the group met with Interim University Librarian Peggy Fry and other members of the library staff to learn about the collections and services provided by the Georgetown University Library. The Library was honored to be able to meet these leaders of Egyptian librarianship and share knowledge about Georgetown.
