Due to ongoing repairs in Lauinger Library, the temperatures on Floors 5, 4, and in the Pierce Reading Room are currently lower than normal. Users may find more comfortable temperatures on the 3rd Floor outside of the Pierce Reading Room and on Floors 2, 1, and the Lower Level as well as the Bioethics and Blommer Science Libraries.

Faculty Can Request Spring Course Reserves Now

Georgetown University Library Books on a book cart

Want to get a head start on planning for the spring semester? Faculty can begin requesting their course reserves now! With the Library’s help you can:

  • Link directly to a Library-created Box Folder of your scanned chapters and articles directly from Canvas.
  • Place books on reserve for short-term loans from as short as 2 hours to as long as 72 hours to make sure your students have access to the resources they need when they need them.
  • Add streaming media directly to your course’s Canvas page so your students can stream audio and video in class or at home.

Learn more about what we can offer by visiting our course reserves page, or by emailing reserves@georgetown.edu! You can also learn more about using Canvas at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship’s (CNDLS) upcoming Canvas Days on December 11 and 12.
