This summer, the Booth Family Center for Special Collections will be discontinuing the use of our paper registration and materials request forms and launching Aeon, an online user registration and request system designed specifically for use in special collections libraries and archives. Aeon will allow Special Collections users the ability to perform a bevy of tasks online in advance of their visit; tasks like registering to use the collections, requesting Special Collections materials, ordering reproductions, and tracking the history of requests made over time. Faculty can also use Aeon to request materials for use in a class presentation or for student assignments. By moving these tasks online, Special Collections will be able to provide a more streamlined experience for our users.
All Special Collections users will need to create an account in Aeon, even if you have been in to use the collections before. Georgetown faculty, staff, and students will be able to use their current NetID and password to create an account. Visiting researchers will need to create a username and password.
