Group Study Rooms Facilitate Collaboration and Learning

Group study room

If you’re looking for a technology-friendly space to work on group projects, the Library’s group study rooms are the answer.

Our large group study rooms—four on Lau 2, two on Lau 4, and the Millennium Room on Lau 3, can each accommodate up to six students. Each room is equipped with a table and chairs and a wall-mounted LCD display with cables that enable users to connect a laptop or other devices. The Group Study Room in the Blommer Science Library also has room for six.

There are three group study rooms on the second floor that are reservable by faculty and graduate students and can accommodate four people each. These do not have LCD displays.

There are 20 small group study rooms on Lau 2 that seat up to three people each. Ten are first come, first serve, and ten are reservable. Five individual study rooms on Lau 2 can be reserved by both graduate and undergraduate students, and ten more—five on Lau 2 and five on Lau 4—can be reserved only by grad students. These do not have LCD displays

All study rooms are available for use if they are unreserved and unoccupied.
