New Databases: Arcadian Library and Regulatory Insight

Books and Tablet on Desk in a Classroom

The Library has two new databases available now for your research needs!

On Trial – Arcadian Library Online

Arcadian Library Online is a collection of materials from the 10th through the 20th centuries. These materials come from the Arcadian Library, a private collection designed to show the intellectual connections and historical interface between the Middle East and the West. This first installment of an ongoing digitization project covers Middle Eastern science and medicine. The online collection includes many rare manuscripts as well in-depth commentary from the Arcardian Library staff on specific titles. The trial runs through November 15. Check it out and let us know what you think at eresoruces@georgetown.edu!

ProQuest Regulatory Insight

ProQuest’s Regulatory Insight, made available through the Georgetown Law Library “seeks to facilitate teaching and learning about administrative law by legal researchers, as well as academic researchers from many other disciplines.” This research is beneficial for anyone who works or studies a regulated industry like medicine, energy, finance, education, and more. The database brings together relevant citations from the Code of Federal Regulations and Federal Register. You can search the CFR or FR directly or search by "regulatory histories" — rulemaking associated with a specific Public Law or Executive Order.
