Lauinger Library is currently closed. When the building reopens, undergraduate and graduate students must have a green GU360 badge and a reservation to enter the library. To promote social distancing, hours and in-person services will be limited. Many other services remain available online. Recommended Software for Instructional Continuity

Macbook computer with applications open

Do you usually come to the Library to access graphic design programs like InDesign and Illustrator or to edit videos with Final Cut or Premiere?

Even though the Library is closed due to the COVID-19 crisis, you can still access these programs from home now that companies like Apple and Adobe are offering extended trials of their software packages. In addition to free temporary access to programs from Apple and Adobe, there are many other programs available for multimedia development that you can even use on your mobile device. See the list of Recommended Software for Instructional Continuity we've compiled to help you find a program you can use from home

Before downloading a program, we highly recommend you check the software's system requirements to make sure it will run on your personal computer or device.

Don't hesitate to email gelardin@georgetown.edu if you have any questions or need help using one of the programs.
