During study days and finals week you will be spending a lot of time in the Library. Don’t forget to keep your devices and your data safe! Keep these tips in mind to help you and to protect your devices and information:
Log out of all machines and social media sites when not in use. You are protecting your usernames and passwords from compromise, theft and viruses.
Use strong passwords unique to each account. Too many passwords to remember? Try Keepass! It’s free!
Never leave your devices unattended in the Library or anywhere else. If you need to take a break, lock up your devices (and keep them charged!) in one of the Library’s Lock’n’Charge stations located on Lau 1 and 2!
Check out a laptop lock to use in the Library from the Lauinger and Blommer Circulation Desks.
Write your name on your laptop charger, if you misplace it, it will be much easier to identify in the lost and found!
