The History of the Women’s & Gender Studies Program
Kerbs Exhibit Area, 3rd Floor, Lauinger Library

The Kerbs Exhibit Area on the 3rd Floor of Lauinger Library features an exhibition in March on the history of the Women's and Gender Studies Program at Georgetown. The Women’s and Gender Studies Program traces its roots back to the spring of 1987, when an interdisciplinary minor in Women’s Studies was formally launched within the College. In celebration of this 30-year milestone, the University Archives takes a look back at its evolution, from its beginnings to its growth into a major program in Women’s and Gender Studies.
