Open Access Week 2014 - October 20-26

Georgetown University Library, in partnership with the Law Library, Bioethics Research Library and GU Press, participated in Open Access Week 2014, a worldwide event to raise awareness of the benefits of open access throughout the research community. The 2014 Open Access Week speaker was Cliff Lynch, Executive Director of the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), who spoke on 'The Evolving Relationship Between Open Access Publishing and Promotion and Tenure at Research Universities.'. Open Access Week 2013 - October 21-27

Georgetown University Library, in partnership with the Law Library, Bioethics Research Library and GU Press, participated in Open Access Week 2013, a worldwide event to raise awareness of the benefits of open access throughout the research community. the 2013 Open Access Week speaker was Dr. Rebecca Tushnet of the GU Law Center, who gave a lecture on the legal and practical implications of Open Access, followed by a librarian-led panel discussion of the objectives of Open Access, its implications for publication of research and the resources Georgetown University Libraries offer to support open access self-archiving.
