To support lifelong learning Georgetown University offers its graduates continued library membership.
- GU-Q alumni can borrow a total of 10 items with a maximum of 2 DVDs and 5 main campus books.
- Main campus alumni can borrow a total of 5 items with a maximum of 2 DVDs. Access is not provided to main campus materials.
- Alumni memberships can be obtained by completing the Alumni Application Form and providing a QR200 refundable deposit.
- Remote access to a selected number subscription databases is available to alumni using their NetID and password. Click here for additional information.

Digital & Multimedia Services
Alumni are welcome to make use of the computing and multimedia services available in the library.
The library has "green" open access computers with no printing available and "blue" login computers with printing available.
Alumni can access most of our multimedia content, including ebooks, online journals, DVDs, and streaming media. License agreements with some content providers restrict access only to Georgetown University staff and students. Remote access to a selected number of subscription databases is available to alumni using their NetID and password. Click here for additional information.
A book scanner is available for use on the ground floor.
Database Access for Alumni
To access these resources, you will need to use your Georgetown University NetID and password.
In partnership with the Office of Academic Services and Mada, the Qatar Assistive Technology Center the Library provides equipment and software designed specifically for learners who are visually or hearing impaired.
The Image Magnifier enlarges difficult to read text. The text or an image can be placed on the table and offers multiple magnification settings.
The Text-to-Speech equipment scans and then reads text out-loud at variable speeds. Headphones are available to ensure comfortable listening and privacy.
