Beyond Boxes: Deconstructing Containers

My exhibition was based on the idea of going beyond boxes and containers. It starts with physical containers and I looked around my room and I saw tupperware. These are very practical containers where we store our food and drinks. It's a journey through a lot of different containers and eventually you end up on a very abstract container and a discussion of what kind of container is imposed on our lives. For example, some of it kind of dealt with time. And the idea of calendars and how these boxes on a page are our attempt to contain something that might not be containable. There was a lot of technology involved and I give a lot of credit to Professor Henderson and Gelardin. I saw through Gelardin that the digital age is definitely here and I wanted to incorporate that into my exhibit.
