New Orleans 10 Years Post-Katrina: Returning Schools to Local Control

 

This project assesses the state of New Orleans schools a decade after Hurricane Katrina. It looks at the role of the Recovery School District in managing the fragmented school system, and argues that based on performance data, now is the time to return New Orleans schools to local control under the Orleans Parish School Board.
