Dickens' 200th Birthday Celebration
Join us to honor Charles Dickens' 200th birthday with the opening of the exhibition "Dickens at Georgetown," some Victorian-era treats, cake and:
Professor Leona Fisher on teaching and learning Dickens;
a scene interpretation by Professors John Pfordresher, David Gewanter and Catherine Payling;
and an introduction to "Dickens at Georgetown" by Professor Pfordresher and Rare Books Curator Karen O'Connell.
The program will be held in the Murray Room at 4 PM and followed by a reception in the Fairchild Gallery and the gallery opening in the Gunlocke Room, all on the 5th floor, Lauinger Library.
