Evelyn Waugh and the Question of Inheritance
Join the Georgetown University Library Associates for an afternoon with Alexander Waugh as he discusses all that he has inherited from his grandfather, the great novelist Evelyn Waugh, examining the legacy from material, psychological and literary perspectives. He will highlight the positive and the negative effects of trying to pursue his own career as a writer working under the shadow of his grandfather's reputation and explore the challenges he faces, with the Evelyn Waugh Estate, in presenting his grandfather's works to a 21st century readership.
