Digital Art with Cintiq

Editing Room 1, Gelardin New Media Center

Learn how to use the Cintiq tablet and pen to create digital artwork with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and more! The Cintiq tablet's advanced technology allows digital artists to feel like they are drawing with pen and paper. Register for this workshop.

Musical entertainment provided by The Georgetown Chimes.

The Georgetown Chimes are Georgetown University’s oldest all-male a cappella singing group, founded in 1946. They perform frequently at University functions, alumni gatherings and local restaurants. Thanks to the philanthropy of the Chimes, the Chimes Endowment Fund is the Library’s largest endowment.

Maker Hub

Stressed by studying? Need a break, or just want to break something? In this drop-in workshop we'll be "De-Making" - taking apart old electronics, learning how they work, and stripping out parts for new projects. You can learn to de-solder, identify and test components, unscrew cases, or just bash things with a hammer. Also available for your de-stressing needs will be coloring books, button makers, or you can escape from it all into the world of VR. Advance registration is preferred, but not required. Note: Close-toed shoes must be worn in the Maker Hub. Register for this workshop.
