We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.

Association of American University Presses (AAUP) Book, Jacket, and Journal Show 2010

Howard W. Gunlocke Rare Book and Special Collections Room
February 28, 2011
March 11, 2011

Georgetown University Press is pleased to host the AAUP Traveling Book, Jacket, and Journal Show, on display in the Gunlocke Room of the Special Collections Research Center on the fifth floor of Lauinger Library. Richard Brown, director of Georgetown University Press, is president of AAUP for 2010-2011.

The 2010 Association of American University Presses Book, Jacket, and Journal Show serves a dual purpose to honor and instruct. The show recognizes meritorious achievements in the design, production, and manufacture of books, jackets, covers, and journals by members of the university press community. It also serves as a focus of discussion and a source of ideas for intelligent, creative, and resourceful book making.
