We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.
The Professor William Manger Collection on Inter-American Relations was established by his students in 1973. The fund is used for information resources on inter-American relations.
William Manger began his Georgetown University career as an undergraduate in the School of Foreign Service. He graduated in 1923 after receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Law in 1921. He went on to receive a Master's in Foreign Service in 1924 and a Ph.D. in 1926 (all from Georgetown). He later taught history at Georgetown and served as Assistant Secretary General of the Pan American Union and the Organization of American States. He was a charter member of the Library's Board of Trustees.
