Blessed Margaret Pole Book Endowment Fund

The Blessed Margaret Pole Book Endowment Fund was established by Library Associates Trustee Maurice Adelman Jr., L'58 in 1988. It honors Blessed Margaret Pole, the last Plantagenet and mother of Cardinal Reginald Pole. She was beheaded at Henry VIII's command at the Tower of London in 1541.

The fund was originally established to acquire or conserve materials related to the Recusant period in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and the colonial United States. Its purpose has expanded to purchase early English Catholic materials.
