Student Workers Brave Snowzilla to Keep Lau Running

While much of D.C. ground to a halt during and in the aftermath of Snowzilla from Friday, January 22 through Tuesday, January 26, Lau was able to keep its lights on and doors open thanks to an incredibly dedicated group of student workers.

Student assistants joined on-call staff, librarians who answered reference questions via online chat, and supervisors who kept up a steady stream of text messages coordinating schedules and staffing, to provide access to the services and resources that play a crucial role in Georgetown's instructional continuity policy. The students went above and beyond, checking materials in and out, carting and shelving books, and offering reference and technical assistance to customers who braved the storm to come to the Library.

The Library is incredibly grateful to these and all of its student workers who work hard each day to make the Library an integral part of campus life! Thank you all!
