Join the Library and the Office of the Provost on May 2nd at 4:00pm to help celebrate the release of Professor Deborah Tannen’s newest title You’re the Only One I Can Tell: Inside the Language of Women’s Friendships.
Professor Tannen has been a member of the Linguistics Department faculty at Georgetown since 1979 and her work is well known both on and off the Hilltop with recent titles, You Were Always Mom’s Favorite!: Sisters in Conversation Throughout Their Lives and You’re Wearing THAT?: Understanding Mothers and Daughters in Conversations making the New York Times best-sellers list. Professor Tannen will give a special lecture about her new book and will take questions from the audience. During the reception following the lecture, you will have an opportunity to purchase Professor Tannen’s book and have it signed.
