- Libraries & Spaces
On Friday, March 6, Georgetown University is open with liberal leave due to inclement weather. The Lauinger Library building, Lauinger Circulation Desk and Gelardin New Media Center are open on time. The Woodstock Theological Library and Blommer Science Library will open as staff arrive.
The Booth Family Center for Special Collections will be closed to researchers beginning Monday, January 26, as we move into our renovated space on the fifth floor of Lauinger Library. We anticipate reopening the reading room by appointment only on Tuesday, March 24, but please contact us as this may be subject to change. You can see more information on the renovation here.
For general inquiries, please fill out and submit the Special Collections Information Request Form. Our knowledgeable staff will respond to your question as soon as possible. For more specific questions, please contact the appropriate person for your request from the list of staff contacts. So we may better assist you, please describe the nature of your inquiry, the intended use of the research material and a summary of your research project.
Experienced researchers will realize that there is not a complete substitute for actually visiting the Booth Family Center for Special Collections, but for those who simply can’t visit, we will do what we can to help.
