We are currently installing new doors in the stairwell in Lauinger Library. During this time, visitors will not be able to use landings that are under construction, either to enter that floor or pass through en route to another. We encourage visitors to use the elevators, although the stairwell may still be used to access floors that are not under construction. Landings under construction should only be used in the case of an emergency.

Off-Campus Shelving "Library Use Only" Materials Request

Use this form for "Library Use Only" Off-Campus Shelving materials located at the WRLC Center in Upper Marlboro, MD that cannot be requested through the library's catalog.

  1. Off-Campus Shelving items are generally available 2–3 business days after the request is made.
  2. Requests are not processed on weekends or University holidays — for example, requests made on a Friday will not be available until the following Monday or Tuesday.
  3. Once retrieved, the materials will be held at the Circulation Desk for three business days. Materials not picked up by then will be returned to Off-Campus Shelving unless other arrangements are made with the Stacks Services Coordinator by calling 202-687-7607, or email accessservices@georgetown.edu.
  4. Off-Campus Shelving materials are subject to the same circulation and use policies as Lauinger materials — "Library Use Only" means that the item may not leave the library at any time.

NOTE: If you are a main campus patron and you only need a single article from a particular journal, please request it through our InterLibrary Loan service.
