Study Lounges

The library has several lounges for undergraduate and graduate students. These areas are available for use whenever the library is open. If group study rooms are not available, there are tables in the lounges where discussions can take place.

There are two study lounges in Lauinger, located on the first and fourth floors. The 1st floor lounge has been designated a Graduate Lounge. The 4th floor lounge is open to all.

Most of the second floor is also a study lounge. The Midnight Mug is located here, and the second floor is the only location in the library where food is allowed.

Only those with a current Georgetown University ID are allowed in Lauinger library between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

For quieter spaces, please also see the specifically designated Quiet Study Areas.
