Library Administration

The Office of the Dean of the Library supports the activities of the Dean of the Library in the attainment of the Library's overarching mission and vision.

The Georgetown University Library has three advisory committees that assist in setting the direction for library activities:

The Faculty Library Advisory Committee (FLAC) is our campus advisory board. The FLAC, which includes student representatives, meets regularly throughout the school year to discuss pertinent Library issues and their effect on the faculty and students of Georgetown University.

The Georgetown University Library Board (GULB) is our external advisory board. GULB membership includes alumni, parents, former Library leadership and Library friends and meets biannually.

The Student Library Council (SLC) serves as a formal channel of communication between Georgetown University Main Campus undergraduate and graduate students and the Library. The Council’s mission is to engage students with the Library, providing opportunities for members to advise and give feedback on improving collections, services and spaces, and discuss library issues affecting the student body.
