SpringerNature Access Outage – March 2022 – RESOLVED

Update April 6, 2022

The access issues with SpringerNature earlier this week have been resolved, and (subscribed) content from Nature.com and SpringerLink should be accessible both on-campus and off-campus.

You may need to clear your browser cache and cookies before everything becomes accessible, especially if your computer was previously affected by this outage.

If you continue to experience difficulties, please email us at: eresources@georgetown.edu

SpringerNature content is currently inaccessible to most Georgetown users, both on-campus and off-campus. Affected content includes:

What can I do?

  1. If you are on-campus, accessed SpringerNature content in February or early March, and have not cleared cache/cookies, it is possible your computer may have access to SpringerNature content.
  2. Check HoyaSearch and the Journal Finder -- many older issues of SpringerNature journals are available from other Library databases. For example, Nature is available from 1990 to early 2021 via EBSCO and ProQuest.
  3. If you need a specific article or ebook chapter, make an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and are happy to field questions at eresources@georgetown.edu.
