Due to ongoing repairs in Lauinger Library, the temperatures on Floors 5, 4, and in the Pierce Reading Room are currently lower than normal. Users may find more comfortable temperatures on the 3rd Floor outside of the Pierce Reading Room and on Floors 2, 1, and the Lower Level as well as the Bioethics and Blommer Science Libraries.

Library Information Technology Department

The Georgetown University Library Information Technology Department is charged with the design, development, management, and maintenance of a flexible and reliable technology environment, specifically: the development and management of digital collections and access and digital preservation tools; digital and data scholarship; the development of a fully accessible, feature and content rich library web presence that applies user experience principles and strategies; the development  and support of server-based technologies for the delivery of library services; the maintenance of library management and discovery systems; the management of library's computing services including desktop support and library labs ;and the delivery of  frameworks and systems to support collaborative storage, delivery, and preservation of information resources.
